Glycerol rosin ester are made from gum rosin through esterification with glycerol to get the irregular-shaped light yellow transparent solid. Dissolved in coal tar solvent-soluble, esters, and petroleum solvents, vegetable oil and turpentine. It can increase the adhesion nitrocellulose in paint and make the coating dries fast and hard bright. It is major used in the manufacture of paint, and applies to ink waxed paper sheets, electrical equipment production.
